Caudwell was thrilled to welcome 17 new owners to Parc du Cap last year. Our sales team work tirelessly to ensure both new and existing residents are looked after, all-year-round. To find out how our sales team helps, and understand what owners are looking for, we spoke with Megan Copley.

Having worked in property sales for over a decade, including a long stint at Savills, Megan lives and breathes the property market. As International Sales Manager, she acts as a Caudwell brand ambassador, routinely going above and beyond for our residents. When she is with buyers, prior to discussing Parc du Cap she’s frequently asked about Caudwell as a company. For example, what it stands for, how involved it is in the development, and what it means to own a Caudwell residence. We unpick all of this with her; read on to find out more.

You’ve been at Caudwell for three years. What’s your favourite part of the job?

Ever since day one, I’ve always loved the feeling right before someone comes to view Parc du Cap. It never gets old! Even though they’ll know about the residence, nothing can prepare them for the experience when they first step inside. The immaculate grounds, the greeting of the friendly concierge and the overall atmosphere – it’s truly unique. And thankfully, we’ve been able to continue this feeling to a great degree this past year, through our video tours.

I think what I love most though, is the connection I make with buyers who become residents. Once someone purchases at Parc du Cap, the journey doesn’t end there for me. As part of the aftersales care team, I’m in touch with new residents to ensure they have everything they need. That is to say, assisting with interior design choices and connecting them to local suppliers. And owners will often introduce me to their friends who are considering joining the residential community. So, the conversation is ongoing, and it’s brilliant to follow and enjoy their journey at Parc du Cap.

What do you regularly get asked?

People often want to know about local taxes and mortgages. You can read more about that over on our handy ‘Navigating the French tax system’ blog. Another big question is around security, which we’re pretty proud of at Parc du Cap. There is 24/7 security, secure underground parking and a large underground storeroom as well.

I’m also frequently asked for local recommendations. Parc du Cap’s position is unparalleled, being a stone’s throw from the nearest beach. Not to mention, there are a number of beach clubs and fantastic restaurants nearby. My favourite is Plage Keller. Our knowledgeable concierge team are always willing to lend a hand with bookings and suggestions

How do you describe Caudwell as a company? What makes it different?

Caudwell is not a typical property developer. First of all, it was founded by a telecoms businessman – John Caudwell – who has been closely involved at every stage of delivery. Secondly, John’s motivation with Parc du Cap is to leave a legacy in the form of residential property. This is something he and the team work tirelessly to realise. For instance, designers, architects, construction professionals and the wider teams – everyone is working towards this long-term goal.

Thirdly, as a legacy developer, Caudwell hasn’t just created exceptional residences. Parc du Cap is a good example of a luxury development where every detail has been considered. To clarify: everything from the spa and facilities through to the interior design, concierge and gardens deliver a luxury lifestyle.

What does it mean to own a Caudwell residence?

I can talk about the special aspects of Parc du Cap all day long. Nowhere else in the South of France will you find luxury hotel-style facilities and services in such modern high-quality residences. The spa is extremely popular – particularly the Hammam, ice room and full equipped gym. Most importantly, a huge amount of space has been given to leisure, mindfulness and quality of life.

However, I think the biggest thing about owning a Caudwell residence is that you’re entering a unique community of like-minded individuals. One that is extremely international, diverse, welcoming, and full of character. Many of our owners hold dual nationalities as well as having businesses in several regions. Further, all of our concierge staff have been recruited from a hospitality background and speak multiple languages. This means they’re keen to keep our residents happy, much like you’d find in any hotel. Whatever you need – opening up your apartment prior to arrival, grocery shopping, recommendations and bookings – our concierge is on hand. And it’s all included within the purchase price.

What are owners looking for right now?

It definitely feels like there’s a movement towards wanting to have more space. I think owners are seeking more spacious holiday accommodation for their families as a result of the pandemic. People who view Parc du Cap usually mentioned this subject before viewing, and are then impressed with what we offer. Not just with the private gardens and balconies but also the shared landscaped gardens, outdoor swimming pool and tennis court.

How does Caudwell look after its residents?

Above all, Caudwell is flexible in meeting the needs of its residents. Recently we have been able to provide even more space by combining existing owners’ residences with available neighbouring apartments. This has created a number of stunning three-bedroom apartments.

In addition, we have created our first adjoining set of two-bedroom apartments. This has allowed our residents to live as one family, whilst maintaining two separate kitchens and living spaces. On the other hand, they now have the option to rent one apartment out, even when they’re visiting. Our residents are everything to us at Caudwell, so we’re always pleased when we can find unique ways to accommodate them.
