For many years, the French Riviera has been well known as a glamorous and chic seaside resort. Today, the rich and famous continue to be attracted to this magnificent region – to visit and to reside. It is of no surprise so many flock here as the Côte d’Azur coastline has so much to offer. For example, the local area is abundant with fabulous bars and Michelin-starred restaurants with spectacular views across the striking scenery. And, of course, the area’s endless sandy beaches offer something for everyone – from secluded havens to spots for water sports enthusiasts.

For us at Parc du Cap, we are fortunate that the Cap d’Antibes peninsula is studded with stunning beaches. In particular, La Plage de la Garoupe which has inspired the naming of one of our newly dressed penthouses, ‘La Garoupe’.

Relax, unwind, and soak up the Riviera sunshine

A seven-minute drive from the doorstep of Parc du Cap will land you on one of the prettiest beaches on the Riviera coastline. La Plage de la Garoupe stretches the eastern side of the peninsula and boasts beautiful views. That is to say, in one direction is the UNESCO World Heritage site, Nice, which sits in front of the immense Alps. Whilst, in the other, the Cap with its majestic villas nestled amongst the fragrant pines. The well-sheltered beach makes the perfect location to unwind and enjoy a cocktail or two at the nearby beach clubs.

A beach with a wonderful history

In the 1920’s, the American socialite couple, Gerald and Sara Murphy bought a villa on the Cap d’Antibes. Their love of the area led to them introducing their famous friends to this pretty beach, Riviera sun and glitzy lifestyle. Such friends included the creative sorts such as Hemingway, Picasso and F. Scott Fitzgerald. It is thanks to the Murphys that the beach is what it is today. In other words, it is a beach of silky-white sands, shimmering blue sea, buzzing beachside restaurants and a polite ban on selfies!

Where to eat: Restaurant Le César at Plage Keller – serving delicious local Mediterranean gourmet food and wine with panoramic views over the Baie des Anges.

What to do: The crystal-clear, gentle waters and the rocky headland are a snorkeler’s heaven to explore.

Seaside inspired living

La Garoupe lateral penthouse is set out over a spacious internal area of 187m2 with coastal living vibes throughout. In fact, the penthouse’s four ensuite bedrooms, living space and kitchen have recently been meticulously designed by London interior designers, th2designs. Their recent styling – using soft contemporary pastel tones and cleverly created zones – compliment the sophisticated atmosphere of this striking home. For instance, the penthouse features a top-of-the-range Italian Veneta Cucine kitchen and marble tiled bathrooms, giving a luxurious yet understated elegance.

Breathtaking Mediterranean vistas

Of course, to take advantage of the glorious al-fresco living, the penthouse boasts an outdoor living space of 252m2. The expansive roof terrace and private infinity swimming pool presents the ideal environment for hosting family and friends alike. From here, you can entertain all-year-round whilst soaking up the magnificent 360 degree views – including that of Plage de la Garoupe.

Provençal life made easy

Finally, Parc du Cap’s outstanding amenities provide all you need to be able to enjoy Provençal living to the full. For example, dive into the resident’s indoor or outdoor pool or take to the courts for a spot of tennis. Further, if you are a tennis fan, you might be interested in joining one of the local, excellent tennis clubs – Tennis Padel Club La Roseraie, Antibes or Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, Biot.

Alternatively, after a hit of cardio in the fully equipped gym, kick back and relax in the spa or tranquil gardens. And when you venture out to the beautiful local beaches, know that your property is secure with our 24-hour security. To clarify, Parc du Cap is privately gated with secure underground car parking and concierge service, allowing residents to lock-up-and-leave.
