So, for the social media fans, we hope to inspire you with some spots to glamorise your next ‘Instagrammable’ shot. Moreover, these locations will be sure to wow you, let alone your Instagram followers.

Get up and close to Provencal nature

There’s no doubt about it, the South of France’s natural landscapes will be sure to take your breath away.

The Calanques de Marseille, Cassis or La Ciotat are extraordinary natural wonders which feature narrow, steep-walled inlets, found along the Mediterranean coast. These stunning and rugged natural landscapes can be enjoyed and captured by foot or by boat.

The Mimosa is described as the golden flower of the Côte d’Azur. And the Mimosa forests are a sight to behold – in front of and behind the camera. These bright, golden miniature suns will bring a beautiful pop of colour to your images.

Les Gorges du Verdon are considered to be one of Europe’s most stunning river canyons. Carved by the turquoise-green Verdon river and lined by high cliffs, this natural site will promise an Insta-worthy photo.

A foodie haven, you’ll never be short of a delicious plate of food or local delicacies.

Le Plongeoir, Nice is truly unique. The restaurant hovers a little over six metres above the sea – accessible only by crossing a narrow bridge. It offers an exceptional outlook across Nice harbour and delicious local cuisine. Certainly one that will be a great Instagram post.

If you’re looking for the majestic, elegant and glam, the Café de Paris, Monaco is where you want to be. This magnificent, art nouveau-style location has an enormous outdoor terrace where you capture the Monaco lifestyle.

From traditional confectionery, candied fruits to crystallised flowers, this is the ultimate sweet lover’s haven. Confiserie Florian, Nice, will fill your Instagram page up with colourful and delicious treats.

Capture the culture and history of the Riviera

The region is brimming with history and fascinating stories. That is to say, a host of famous and celebrated figures have visited, lived in and left their legacy behind in Provence.

The beautiful Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc has been adored by the likes of Scott Fitzgerald, the Windsors, Kennedys, Churchills and numerous screen stars. An Instagram moment in front of this mythical mansion is a must.

St Paul de Vence is one of the most picturesque, perched villages in the South of France. Moreover, it is an artist’s haven. Down every cobbled street, you’ll be welcomed by endless inspiring art galleries and masterful treasures. Plenty to spark a creative snapshot.

Along the Promenade des Anglais in Nice are magnificent Mediterranean views, beaches, villas, gardens and more. In addition, throughout the year, various lively events take place, including the famous Carnival de Nice. Certainly a chance to take some fabulous pictures.

Who doesn’t love a glass of chilled wine in hand, with an awe-inspiring view as a backdrop!

Château de Berne not only produces exceptional organic wines but is also a stunning five-star Relais & Châteaux hotel. Nestled in Provence’s hinterland, amongst forests and olive groves, the Château offers a scenic backdrop for your glass of wine.

Relax with a cocktail in hand at one of the area’s remarkable rooftop bars. For example, Mayssa Beach in Villefranche-sur-Mer, La Terrasse at Le Méridien Nice, or L’Horizon Deck, Restaurant & Champagne Bar in Monaco.

The shots that will wow

Finally, you’ve got to get the pictures that will capture the moments that are the real showstoppers!

Nestled on a hilltop about 1,400 feet above the sea level, the village of Èze presents indescribable panoramic vistas. Photo opportunities are also offered through the village’s Mediaeval architecture, botanical garden, and historic châteaux. Notably, the enchanting Château de La Chèvre d’Or.
